Because of the emphasis on quality food & beverage within the independent, boutique, luxury and resort segments, HPS has developed highly specialized and powerful programs that address this important category. Unlike other hospitality product categories, the HPS contracting team understands that when it comes to food & beverage requirements, the selection of suppliers is critical in meeting quality standards due to the perishable nature of products. Additionally, because of the advanced level of expertise of many food & beverage personnel among elite operators, HPS recognizes the importance of providing access to a wide range of products and suppliers so that each property is able to achieve their specific culinary vision. The HPS Food & Beverage Program provides members with access to regional purveyors that provide access to the finest meats, seafood, specialty goods, produce, bakery and dairy, along with national broadline foodservice distributors that deliver the highest quality grocery and staple items consistently and cost effectively. HPS also provides food & beverage departments with access to powerful non-food programs that include equipment, chemicals, uniforms, restaurant supplies, paper goods and disposables.
Broadline Grocery Distribution
HPS provides members with leveraged access to leading distributors of grocery, refrigerated and frozen products in every market. Through extensive contracting and volume leverage, HPS members gain access to a program that provides lowers food costs, industry-leading product safety standards, five-star customer service, extensive product availability and measured performance against fill rates and delivery windows.
● Average warehouse stocks 8,000-10,000 items, providing members access to a huge selection of products to meet their specific needs.
● Significant number of "flagged" products available that have been contracted back to the manufacturer, representing the best value available.
● Ability to bring product into distribution to meet the needs of a specific member, provided that case movement meets minimum requirements.
● Members can choose to either keep a street representative for an additional surcharge, or be managed as a national account and receive a national account manager based out of the local distribution center.
● Properties can increase savings by maximizing delivery drop sizes and ensuring payments are made within terms.
Quality Assurance & Safety
Quality assurance requirements include a documented Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program, written recall program and established pest control program.
Regional Produce
HPS recognizes the need for fresh, local and varied produce for elite hospitality operators. In keeping with this requirement, HPS members have access to regional produce suppliers that provide consistent, contracted pricing on all produce needs, while maintaining some of the strictest produce safety standards in the industry.
● HPS Produce Suppliers deliver five or six days per week to most areas, with low delivery minimums, to ensure members can maintain the freshest produce while minimizing storage space requirements.
● HPS Produce Suppliers will notify HPS members whenever any product routinely purchased increases by more than 25% within a two week period.
● HPS Produce Suppliers have proper ethylene management practices in place to ensure optimal storage of produce.
● Approved Seva Produce Suppliers maintain warehouses with multiple refrigerated temperature zones to ensure the freshest produce possible upon delivery.

Strict quality assurance and product safety requirements are contractually stipulated with all HPS Produce Suppliers. This includes third-party independent facility inspections, foreign object detection procedures and stringent quality systems management program requirements, including HACCP and tested recall programs.
Regional Seafood
HPS members have access to Regional Seafood Suppliers that provide access to the freshest seafood in the market. HPS contracts with only those suppliers that are committed to not only best-in-market pricing, but that also demonstrate a passionate commitment to product quality, safety and seafood sustainability.
● HPS Regional Seafood Suppliers deliver five to six times per week in most markets, with low delivery minimums to ensure members have access to the freshest seafood and are able to keep inventory levels at a minimum.
● Members receive a weekly product listing that includes the negotiated formula pricing for each item so chefs can make menu decisions.
● Weekly product listing includes Monterey Bay sustainability labels to assist Members with make conscientious purchasing decisions and menu item descriptions.
● Weekly product listing will include the percentage change between the current price and the prior week and month for each product to assist with menu pricing decisions.
● HPS Seafood Suppliers must adhere to Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) practices for all product.

Regional Meat
HPS offers a Regional Meat Program that provides members access to fresh cut meats. Whether you are a five-star property or a limited service establishment, the HPS Regional Meat Program provides incredible category savings along with product that meets specific Seva aging and safety standards.
● HPS Regional Meat Suppliers must meet all USDA grading and certified program guidelines.
● The HPS Meat Program stipulates aging requirements on specific cuts of meat, ensuring the most tender product for your guests.
● HPS Regional Meat Suppliers deliver five to six times per week in most markets, with low delivery minimums to ensure members have access to the freshest seafood and are able to keep inventory levels at a minimum.
● The HPS Meat Program provides members with the ability to get custom cut meats to fit their specific menu requirements.
Quality Assurance & Safety
Strict quality assurance and product safety requirements are contractually stipulated with all HPS Produce Suppliers. This includes third-party independent facility inspections and stringent quality systems management program requirements, including HACCP and tested recall programs. Ground beef is contractually required to go through extensive microbiological testing, well beyond USDA standards, to ensure the safest possible product.
Coffee & Tea
HPS members have access to a Coffee & Tea Program that provides highly leveraged pricing on various coffee and tea blends to meet the needs of any operator. These offerings include fair trade and organic product to ensure comprehensive solutions that meet more than just price requirements for our members.
● Custom, proprietary labeled blends are available for HPS members desire a coffee specific to their property.
● To control category costs, HPS locks in pricing on the cost of beans quarterly based on market trends to ensure members always benefit from commodity shifts.
● Equipment and service is provided based on product volume and facility needs.
● Filters are included at no additional cost.
Juices
HPS recognizes the importance of the juice category for hospitality operators in terms of both financial impact and guest satisfaction. Because of this, HPS provides comprehensive, highly- leveraged programs on shelf stable, not-from-concentrate and "juice grade" oranges.
● Shelf stable juice machines are provided under the program.
Chemical & Warewashing
HPS has contracted with industry leading chemical providers to ensure cost effective ware washing and sanitation solutions, backed by an emergency service program that keeps our members operating should equipment fail.
● The HPS F&B Chemical Program guarantees a minimum savings of 15% over the pre-HPS chemical supplier for all members.
● This savings guarantee enables property personnel to ensure that they can adjust chemical concentrations as they see fit without reducing savings.
● The HPS F&B Chemical Program will be customized based on the equipment, material being washed and the water chemistry of the property.
Linen
Regardless of what your specific linen requirements, the HPS F&B Linen Program provides options on table linen and skirting to meet the needs of any operator, from limited service to five-star dining.
Uniforms
HPS recognizes the impact fashionable uniforms have on the guest dining experience. HPS members have access to a wide selection of traditional and trendy food and beverage uniform options to keep your staff looking as good as the cuisine, all at highly leveraged pricing.
● Uniforms can be customized with property or employee personnel names, if so desired.
Textile Rental & Processing
For those properties that do not launder food & beverage textiles, including kitchen uniforms, table linen and kitchen towels, HPS members have access to contracted rental solutions that will provide routine processing of these items, as well as rental when requested.
● Contracted HPS Textile Suppliers will process member-owned linens, or provide as part of a rental agreement.
Paper & Supplies
To help control the expense of smallwares, supplies, paper and disposable products, HPS members can purchase from contracted Suppliers that provide members access to highly leveraged products, often negotiated back to the manufacturer. With a specialization in these categories, these HPS suppliers provide members with a huge selection of products to meet a member's specific quality and financial requirements.
China, Glass & Silver
The HPS China, Glass & Silverware Program is designed to provide members with access to a huge selection of design options to meet the needs of every operator.
● Program provides conversion incentives and support for members that convert over to a HPS China, Glass and Silver Supplier.
Specialty Food
The HPS Specialty Food Program provides members with access to speciality food products that meet the needs of the most demanding chefs.
